Southend YMCA has continuously held the Matrix Quality Standard since 2013 and achieved it at that time to help with our Educational Delivery. The Matrix Quality Standard is focused on Information, advice and guidance and how it is embedded in the services we provide.
“SYMCA service is truly young person-centred as demonstrated by feedback from young people, the enthusiastic and passionate way in which staff describe how and why they work with young people to support them to move forward in a positive way and the feedback from stakeholders who commented on how young people are at the heart of what SYMCA does.
There is a strong team working culture in which staff work together across projects to support young people.
Volunteers are an important resource without which the charity would struggle to offer the breadth of services available to young people. There is no differentiation between volunteers and staff in terms of support, encouragement and development opportunities offered to individuals.”
