Southend YMCA Yellow Advertiser Feature

Last week the Yellow Advertiser YAran a great front page feature of Southend YMCA. Stephen Neal, News Editor for the Yellow Advertiser who attended our launch event was extremely impressed with the event and the work we do at the YMCA. We look forward to working closely with this independent family-owned newspaper in the future.

"More than 200 VIPs and special guests attended the ceremony at Barclays Bank, Southend High Street, on Wednesday. Mayor Judith McMahon said: “Southend YMCA is like a diamond. A very precious thing.” The charity has worked for young people in south Essex since 1897, providing education, housing, training and recreational activities."

Also attending was Southend MP James Duddridge, who said: “I urge everyone to do more for the YMCA. Be inspired by these inspirational people.”
